The center stated they will continue to support and advocate for people with disabilities in the state.ARIZONA, USA — The Arizona Center for Disability Law (ACDL) will remain open during the coronavirus pandemic, the center stated in a press release on Wednesday.The center, which has been representing Arizonans with disabilities since 1995, said its staff is committed to supporting and advocating for their clients during this difficult time.While the ACDL is still canceling all trainings and public outreach events, it stated that it would continue to provide services for current clients and would be reviewing new requests for services with alternate means."If you have been denied access to necessary services due to COVID-19 or feel that your legal rights have been violated, please contact us," the center stated.
Those with disabilities are at higher risk during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the CDC. The ACDL stated that their website will provide information for the disability community to understand the heightened risks."The disability community will be disproportionately affected by an outbreak," the ACDL stated.Their site offers links to many different services to support the disability community during the pandemic.
