The attorney filling this role will serve as counsel for Pfizer clients across various commercial and platform organizations within Pfizer on various supply – related transactions.  This individual will be accountable for partnering with a wide variety of business clients and Legal colleagues to support the referenced organizations, including colleagues in Pfizer CentreOne (PC1), Global Procurement, Business Development, Alliance Management, and Quality Operations.  This individual must handle highly complex and critical matters and be highly capable and well-suited to working in a matrix environment to optimize client service.   

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise and counsel PGS External Supply and PGS Procurement on negotiation, drafting, and alliance management for supply – related transactions
  • Support PC1 for full range of commercial transactions, including API, drug development and supply, and corporate sponsored agreements
  • Support PGS Quality organization on quality issues that may impact supply of product and related work with PGS External Supply on transactional matters
  • Participate in template and training teams to develop appropriate documents to use for PGS and drive efficient use of the templates for routine agreements by the clients, with support from legal professionals as appropriate

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Admission to practice law in US
  • JD plus 7+ years of legal experience, including drafting and negotiation of drug development, drug supply and distribution transactions
  • Experience counseling clients on transactional matters relating to quality and supply
  • Experience with counseling clients on management of significant commercial disputes, including issues impacting quality or supply

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to understand and operate effectively in the Pfizer organization, particularly the matrix structure and enabling functions and business units
  • Proven ability to manage high volume workload and resolve pressing needs while tracking progress towards longer term goals
  • Strategic and proactive.  Anticipates needs and able to prioritize quickly without explicit guidance.  Attentive to detail and sensitive to unable and subtleties
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Experiences in communication and interacting with senior leaders and across geographies and cultures
  • Possesses a high energy level, sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness, and ability to work well independently or in a team and under pressure
  • Demonstrated problem solving, project management and analytic skills
  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and acumen
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
