We are looking to add a business-minded Commercial Counsel to our small but mighty legal team to support our growing SaaS business and help build the legal function in our mission-driven company in the HR Tech space. This person will be a key partner to the Sales team, and will also work closely with other stakeholders around the company in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of domestic and international commercial sales agreements. The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely organized, thrives in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, and is a motivated team player.
Please note the role is located in New York, NY Headquarters.
Independently draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and revenue-generating agreements to support the Global Enterprise Sales team
Manage and evolve contract templates, playbooks, and processes to increase efficiency and scalability of commercial legal agreement support
Collaborate with Finance, Sales Operations, Information Security, Customer Success, Product, and other business units at all levels throughout the organization to ensure that all commercial agreements adequately protect the company’s interests, improve processes, and increase scalability
Set policies based on applicable laws and regulations concerning personal data and privacy
Develop and deliver training to educate internal business partners on contract terms, contracting processes, negotiation best practices, legal risks, data privacy, etc.
Maintain and update Pymetrics’ contracts requirements repository by performing internal reviews of existing legacy contracts
Partner closely with other cross-functional teams to provide legal oversight as it pertains to Risk, Data Privacy, and Compliance
Assist Pymetrics’ Legal Department with other legal tasks on an as-needed basis
JD degree and membership with the New York State Bar
A minimum of 3 years Legal experience, including commercial contract review, drafting an negotiation, and privacy regulations
A diverse background in technology law, with emphasis on subscription-based software & services, and privacy
HR TECH A PLUS

Ability to prioritize and manage business expectations in a fast-paced environment
