Caterpillar seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as Corporate Counsel, Competition and Antitrust in Peoria, Illinois, USA. Working with a talented and supportive team, this position will interface directly with business leaders to provide specialist antitrust advice and help develop the company’s legal position and strategy on competition matters throughout the world. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to join a world-class legal team and work on sophisticated, global issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
·J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
·3-5 years of legal experience, including at a law firm working on competition and antitrust matters
·Experience developing approaches to legal challenges and providing legal advice
·Ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels in the organization and with other lawyers, both in-house and in private practice
·Experience working with complex supply chain and distribution structures
Top Candidates will also have:
·Experience with global antitrust laws and regulators
·Flexibility and eagerness to work on broad range of legal matters, including U.S. and European matters
·Excellent interpersonal skills with an absolute commitment to professionalism and collegiality
·Strong presentation skills and a calm, confident and practical, solutions-oriented approach
