Infosys - Legal - Corporate Counsel – In-house Attorney

Infosys Ltd. (NYSE INFY) a global IT Services company with more than 200,000 employees and 10+ billion dollars in annual revenue, is seeking a senior employment counsel to join the employment law group of our Legal department, with responsibility for the Americas region and a small team of employment lawyers based in the U.S. If you have a strong background in employment law and are ready to put your strengths to work in a fast-paced, in-house legal environment, then this may be the opportunity for you.

Infosys is seeking a Corporate Counsel - In-house attorney to join the Americas Legal team supporting the Infosys Sales teams in the U.S, Canada and Latin America.  The position will report to the Head of the Americas (Commercial) Legal team and will be primarily responsible for the following:  negotiating various agreements with external clients and vendors; providing legal and business counsel to internal clients to resolve issues;  managing external counsel (as applicable); ensuring that all agreements are concluded in accordance with Infosys’ corporate risk parameters and policies and working or leading various department and organization projects as assigned.

Location for this position is based in Lisle IL. This position may require travel up to 20% and/ or relocation.


  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a member of a State bar.
  • Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience including in Outsourcing, Information Technology, Intellectual property, software licensing, marketing and advertising law, SaaS (preferred)


  • Good working knowledge and familiarity with the following laws and regulations: GLBA; HIPAA; FCPA; Sarbanes Oxley; export control laws and data privacy laws. 

  • Blend of relevant law firm and in-house experience; preferably transactional IP/IY focused with at least 2 years of prior in-house experience.

  • Excellent drafting skills; Demonstrated experience with commercial transactions, specifically the drafting and negotiation of, but not limited to the following types of agreements
     1) complex master outsourcing services  and technology-related agreements; 2) software licensing agreements; 3) reseller agreements; 4) sponsorship and marketing agreements; 5) teaming agreements; 6) RFPs and RFIs; 7) settlement agreements ; 8) non-disclosure agreements; 9) statement of work(s) ; 10) subcontractor agreements; and 11) cloud hosted services agreements.

  • Experience overseeing and closing multiple projects and transactions.

  • Excellent problem solving skills.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-based and demanding work environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with rapidly changing deadlines and priorities.

  • Commitment to ethics and integrity.

  • Professionalism and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.

  • Ability to identify and manage legal and business risk.

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
