Functions/Duties of Position        

Oregon Health & Science University is seeking an attorney for business transactions and health care regulatory matters.

Job Requirements        

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from American Bar Association accredited law school
• Ten+ years years experience in the legal field for which the attorney was hired and five to seven years of OHSU experience
• Active member of Oregon State Bar Association and in good standing
• Works with minimal supervision on professional matters, but seeks and takes direction from the General Counsel
• Responsible for considerable and diverse work load
• Interacts directly with client representatives
•  Well respected by client representatives
• Collegial relationship with other legal counsel, office staff and client representatives
• Subject matter expert for the office in a given field; serves as a resource to other attorneys
• Has earned a reputation within the legal community as an outstanding lawyer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active or inactive member of other state bar associations
• Demonstrated commitment to Legal Department principles
• Takes Strength-Finder or other similar assessment prior to promotion 
• Develops and implements a plan to integrate key lessons
